What is the Function of Instrument Transformer?
It can change high voltage to low voltage and large current to small current for measuring or protecting system. Its main function is to convert high voltage or large current into standard low voltage (100V) or standard low current (5A or 1A, all refer to the rating value) in proportion, so as to realize the standardization and miniaturization of measuring instruments, protective equipment and automatic control equipment. At the same time, transformers can also be used to separate high voltage systems to ensure the safety of people and equipment.
In lines that supply electricity, the current varies from a few ampere to tens of thousands of ampere, and the voltage varies from a few volts to millions of volts. Circuit current and voltage are relatively high, such as direct measurement is very dangerous. In order to facilitate the secondary instrument measurement needs to be converted into a more uniform current and voltage, the use of transformer to change the rheological pressure and electrical isolation of the role.
