It is not allowed for one pole to be grounded for a long time in the DC system of substation, because it may cause the misoperation of the signal device, relay protection and control circuit when the ground occurs again in another place of the same pole. In addition, when a pole is grounded, if another pole is grounded, DC short circuit will be caused.
